HIGH QUALITY CHILD CARE

According to the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s report, The Business Case for High-Quality Child Care, “Lack of access to quality and affordable child care is a significant barrier that limits the supply of talent. Companies that take an active role in helping their employees secure these services generate billions of dollars a year in revenue due to increased workforce participation.

Maryland Family Network’s Counting our Losses report found that 49% of Maryland parents of children 5 years of age or younger report short-term disruptions to employment in the past 3 months because of issues with child care.

CHILD CARE AS AN EMPLOYEE BENEFIT

Many employers have made the shift to providing child care to employees or discounted child care as a part of their employee benefits package. Sixty-nine percent of parents say that the cost of care has impacted their career decisions (Source: Workplace Survey 2015). Twenty-five percent of parents have switched jobs for better family benefits. We are a nonprofit provider of NAEYC accredited and licensed early childhood education, licensed before and after school care, and licensed summer camps with flexible programs for children two months through Grade 8 with nine locations in Montgomery County, MD and Washington, DC.
